Adopting cues from historical Buddhism text, young brand ANITYA developed their name from the Sanskrit word anitya, meaning impermanence or transitoriness. Translating that idea into full-fledged collections is the goal of designer Tomoyoshi Kishi.

Set against a mountainous quarry, the unisex brand comes together and presents their 7th collection, where the scenery of earthy and natural color tones complement the corresponding outfit placed in the foreground. Silhouettes are relaxed and somewhat refined; if it weren’t for the peculiar design ideas of Tomoyoshi, there wouldn’t be much to talk about here. For instance, this blazer is cut on a wide pattern block, drop shoulders, and paired with single buttons on each side for another styling option. This outfit, in its simplicity, is an excellent example of what happens when all design details are taken into account when creating a single piece. The stand-up collar, cotton poplin fabric, and extended sleeves—paralleled with the cotton twill, wide-cut and ankle-hemmed trousers are then finished off with a wide fabric belt, which, in this instance, literally ties everything together.

Titled i’m here :, the duo is in their fourth season together and is looking to join the band of fellow androgynous JP brands. •A/W ’24 -Complete with a primarily monochrome and earthy color scheme, shades of green, brown, and blue fuse with a mix of materials like heavy cotton and structured wool in voluminous silhouettes.
